The trade publication remarks that this list is a notable moment for ITV as - with both Changing Ends and G'wed new hits - the network has "scored a rare two nominations" in the comedy category.

Elsewhere in the shortlists announced today, A League Of Their Own is up against Gladiators, Love Is Blind, Squid Game: The Challenge, Lee Mack quiz show The 1% Club and The Traitors for the Best Entertainment Programme trophy.

Joe Lycett Vs Sewage has been recognised in the Best Original Programme category and the Best Children's Programme shortlist features the Gruesome Gunpowder Plot special from Horrible Histories.

Me And The Voice In My Head, the one-off Channel 4 programme in which comedy performer Joe Tracini spoke about his borderline personality disorder, is in the Best Documentary list.

A full list of nominations across all the categories, which includes Richard Gadd's Baby Reindeer in the Best Drama Series section, can be seen via broadcastawards.co.uk

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on 5th February.
