BBC One to air Michael McIntyre 25th anniversary show
- Michael McIntyre's 25th Year Stand-Up Special is coming to the BBC this Christmas
- It will celebrate the comic's quarter-century of performing stand-up
- The show is an hour-long version of his worldwide tour Macnificent
BBC One has commissioned a stand-up show from Michael McIntyre, marking 25 years since he first started performing.
The hour-long version of his recent world touring Macnificent will be filmed at the London Palladium in the middle of November and is expected to air at Christmas.
Free tickets for two recording nights are now available through Applause Store.
The BBC says: "Multi award-winning comedian Michael McIntyre is celebrating 25 years of stand-up comedy with a special filming of his incredible, brand new worldwide sold-out Macnificent show."
Michael McIntyre's 25th Year Stand-Up Special will be produced by Hungry McBear, treating the audience "to a hilarious evening of Michael's observations of everyday life, to mark this special milestone".
McIntyre says: "I've had an amazing 25 years since my first stand-up gig and the BBC have been such a huge part of that, giving me some wonderful stages on which to perform, from Live At The Apollo to Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow and Michael McIntyre's Big Show. Which is why it's so befitting and such an honour to be celebrating this milestone with this stand-up special of all new jokes on BBC One and iPlayer."
