Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond are developing In Case Of Emergency, an animated comedy set in a British hospital.
The Ghosts stars are working with Big Talk Studio to develop the series for Netflix, which Deadline says "takes inspiration from Family Guy".
So far a six-minute pilot has been created. The producers are collaborating with Blue Zoo Animation Studio on the project, the company known for making children's shows such as The Adventures Of Paddington.
Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond previously worked together to write We Are Not Alone, a one-off sci-fi comedy which aired on Dave in 2022. It was revealed in June 2023 that UKTV had no plans to take it a series.
However, executive producer Kenton Allen has revealed Big Talk is now discussing a US adaptation of We Are Not Alone with American networks, alongside Mitchell & Webb comedy Back and BBC Two sitcom Mum.
Further details about In Case Of Emergency are expected to be revealed by Netflix in due course.
