Edinburgh TV Awards announces 2024 winners

Winners of the Edinburgh TV Awards, presented at the city's annual television festival, have just been announced.

Ghosts star, actor and comedian Kiell Smith-Bynoe hosted the ceremony at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, during which ITV1 was named Channel of the Year.

Amongst a range of categories, the following comedy winners were announced:

Best Comedy Series: Big Boys

Channel 4's second series of Big Boys by Jack Rooke picked up the main comedy prize. A third series is in production.

Best TV Actor - Comedy: Bridget Christie

Stand-up Bridget Christie picked up this prize for her 2023 sitcom The Change, which is also returning for another series.

Breakthrough Performance: Dylan Thomas-Smith

Young actor Dylan Thomas-Smith won this breakthrough accolade for his starring role in G'wed, ITVX's sitcom set in Liverpool.

Best TV Presenter - Entertainment: Graham Norton

Graham Norton picked up this prize again for his long-running BBC One talk show, The Graham Norton Show.
