Shopping With Keith Lemon axed by ITV2
- Shopping With Keith Lemon has ended on ITV2 after four series
- "There are no current plans for a new series but the show will continue to have a regular presence across both ITV2 and ITVX with repeat programming"
- The next project for Leigh Francis is launching his autobiography Leigh, Myself and I in September
ITV2 has said that Shopping With Keith Lemon will not return for any more new episodes, however it will continue to repeat the four series that have been made.
The format, which launched in 2019, sees Leigh Francis in character as Keith Lemon interviewing celebrities as they shop.
Guests taking part in the show have included Jimmy Carr, Rob Beckett, Katherine Ryan, Jonathan Ross, Joel Dommett, Judi Love and Iain Stirling.
A total of 34 episodes were made across the four series, with Series 4 finishing in September 2023.
The show has regularly been repeated on ITV2, with the most recent re-run last month.
An ITV spokesperson confirmed to Metro newspaper: "There are no current plans for a new series but the show will continue to have a regular presence across both ITV2 and ITVX with repeat programming."
The cancellation marks the end of new Keith Lemon shows on ITV2, following on from Celebrity Juice being axed in 2022. The panel show had been running on the digital channel since 2008.
The comedian most recently performed as Keith Lemon as part of Leigh Francis: My First Time, his live tour which ended in April.
His autobiography, Leigh, Myself and I, is due to be published in September. He has said of the publication: "I've actually written books before. Seven, if I'm blowing my own trumpet. But never about me, Leigh Francis. Not many people know the real me. They know Keith Lemon, Avid Merrion, The Bear, but this book is all about who I am, out of character, totally honest, just being me. There's going to be some sad bits, but hopefully there'll be more happy bits that'll put a smile on your face a few times. It's everything I can remember up to the present day."
