The BBC has ordered a second series of Such Brave Girls, the sitcom written by and starring Kat Sadler.
The comedy has been greenlit to return for six more episodes.
Launched on BBC Three in November, the programme - which also stars Lizzie Davidson, Louise Brealey, Paul Bazely and Freddie Meredith - follows single mother Deb and her two daughters, Josie and Billie, as they attempt to piece their lives back together "after their narcissistic wreckhead father and husband finally f*cked off for good".
The programme has been nominated for a number of awards, including Best Scripted Comedy in this Sunday's BAFTA Television Awards.
Kat Sadler says: "It's a sick pleasure that these horrible characters get to live another day and I'm now contractually obliged put them through hell again. The BBC are masochists and I'm very grateful."
Commissioner Jon Petrie comments: "In Such Brave Girls, Kat Sadler created a unique comedy that made a real impact with audiences. Her brave and honest take on the family sitcom showcases her undeniable talent and solidifies her position as one of the most innovative voices in comedy today, it was a no brainer to have the show back for a second time."
Jack Bayles from production company Various Artists Ltd told Deadline: "Kat landed the freshest, most wonderfully unhinged first series and it was an absolute pleasure making it with her and the BBC. Such Brave Girls arrived fully formed with a purity of vision and a hunger to subvert, a second season is testament to Kat and the whole SBG team - who now need to come back and do it all again."
Various Artists Ltd have also had their other new sitcom, Mawaan Rizwan's Juice, recommissioned. Managing director Phil Clarke says: "I'm delighted that the BBC is bringing back Juice and Such Brave Girls from sparkling new comedy talents Mawaan and Kat. Both shows are fresh and highly original with something very funny and contemporary to say."
