Elsewhere in in the list of nominations, Kat Sadler, Mawaan Rizwan and Kirkmoore writer Andrew Bogle are nominated in the Emerging Talent category.

Michael McIntyre's Big Show is in the running in the entertainment category, alongside Strictly Come Dancing, Jools Holland and Hannah Waddingham.

The documentary Dispatches: Russell Brand: In Plain Sight is up for a Current Affairs trophy.

Meanwhile the comedies Mobility, The Skewer: Three Twisted Years and Where It Ends appear in the Short Form category.

The BAFTA Television Craft Awards (featuring the writing award) will take place on Sunday 28th April, with Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan hosting the BAFTA Television Awards on BBC One on Sunday 12th May.
