  • The format sees comedians having to arrange members of the public in order. e.g. 'Who earns the most?'
  • The disability-positive production environment will involve a training scheme to help people get into TV production

Comedy Central has ordered Out Of Order, a comedy show in which guest comedians must order members of the public on various criteria.

Hosted by Rosie Jones, the 12 episode series will begin filming this autumn, for broadcast on the channel in 2024.

Producers explain: "Two teams of comedians compete, in front of a studio audience, to place members of the public in the correct order in a series of revealing categories such as, 'Who earns the most?' and 'Who's had the most one night stands?'."

Comedy Central and producers Rumpus Media have also partnered to run a training scheme during the series' production. Aimed at anyone over the age of 18 in the UK, people from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply.

Luke Hales from the network says: "Having worked with Rosie on her hit Comedy Central shortform series, Rosie Tries To Help, we're delighted to be strengthening our partnership with her on Out Of Order. With Rosie at the helm, this funny, unpredictable and warm-hearted new format is sure to entertain our global audiences. We're also really pleased to be offering production training opportunities as part of this show. As a brand, and as part of the wider industry, it's important that we intentionally create opportunities like this to ultimately foster an open, inclusive production ecosystem."

Rosie Jones says: "Every legend knows that Comedy Central is the home of all things funny, so I'm over the bloody moon to be working with the team again. This show packs a huge dose of hilariousness and chaos and I can't wait for people to see it! What's more, I'm thrilled to be working with Comedy Central and Rumpus Media to create an exciting, disability-positive production environment via our Out Of Order training initiative - this is a cause close to my heart and I absolutely encourage anybody eligible to apply."

Iain Wimbush from Rumpus Media concludes: "We're absolutely thrilled to be working with Rosie Jones on this brand-new series that promises a fresh take on the comedy gameshow and will be a lot of fun to watch. Inclusivity is at the very heart of the programmes Rumpus makes and we are passionate about investing in new talent. The trainee scheme announced today with Rosie and Comedy Central welcomes those from different backgrounds and abilities, in the hope this will introduce new people to an industry they have traditionally been locked out of."
