Hold The Front Page returning for a second series
- Sky Max has ordered further episodes of Hold The Front Page featuring Nish Kumar and Josh Widdicombe
- The comedians will once again be working as reporters for local news organisations around the UK
- The recommission follows Sky also ordering a stand-up special from Kumar and On Demand, a panel show about television from Widdicombe and Rob Beckett
Hold The Front Page is returning to Sky Max for a second series, British Comedy Guide can exclusively reveal.
Production has begun on further episodes of the show in which Nish Kumar and Josh Widdicombe experience what it's like to be local news reporters.
Airing at the start of this year, the first series saw the pair working at the Scotsman, Yorkshire Post and Farming Life among other titles, seeking stories at the Edinburgh Fringe and chasing former Prime Minister Boris Johnson for an interview among other assignments.
Hold The Front Page is made by CPL Productions (A League Of Their Own, There's Something About Movies).
Kumar recently announced this his debut stand-up special will air on Sky Comedy on 1st August, while Sky Max also recently ordered a series of On Demand, Widdicombe's panel show about television that he fronts with Rob Beckett and Alison Hammond.
