Katherine Ryan and Rob Beckett stand-up specials coming to Sky
- Stand-up special Rob Beckett: Wallop! will air on Sky Comedy on Boxing Day
- Katherine Ryan: Missus will premiere on Sky Comedy on Thursday 29th December
Sky Comedy is to air stand-up specials Rob Beckett: Wallop! and Katherine Ryan: Missus between Christmas and New Year.
The network says: " Sassy, sardonic and always fabulous, Katherine Ryan's critically acclaimed stand-up special Missus arrives exclusively on Sky Comedy and streaming service NOW on 29 December.
"Creator and star of the series The Duchess (along with two global Netflix comedy specials: In Trouble and Glitter Room), Katherine Ryan brings her highly anticipated new special, Missus, filmed at the Edinburgh Playhouse, to Sky for the first time.
"This comedy special coincides with her starring role opposite Romesh Ranganathan in Sky Comedy's brand-new comedy series Romantic Getaway, premiering on New Year's Day.
"Missus has just finished a completely sold-out tour of the UK, Europe and Canada and is now airing on the small screen for the first time. Having previously denounced marriage, monogamy, and categorising men as 'like dolphins - best enjoyed on holiday', a lot has changed for everyone over the past few years - Katherine included. Having since married her first love (accidentally), Sky audiences can look forward to hearing Katherine Ryan's hilarious new perspectives on life, love, and what it means to be a Missus.
"Self-proclaimed Mouth of the South, Rob Beckett's stand-up special Wallop! arrives exclusively to Sky Comedy and streaming service NOW on 26 December.
"It may have been delayed a few years due to the pandemic, but finally, one half of everybody's favourite Sky double act, Rob Beckett, brings his hugely popular stand-up special Wallop! to Sky customer's screens this Boxing Day.
"From four series of Rob And Romesh Vs, to hosting chart-topping podcast Parenting Hell, it's been a busy few years for Rob - and he's coming to Sky Comedy to fill you in and make you laugh. After performing over 160 tour dates of the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand playing to over 200,000 punters, on the last night of his Wallop! tour, Rob recorded his first stand-up special at one of his favourite venues in the UK, the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend."
