Channel Hopping With Jon Richardson is returning for a second series, British Comedy Guide can exclusively reveal.
Production is underway on six more episodes of the Comedy Central clip show, in which Richardson, co-host Judi Love and a guest comedian discuss a weekly digest of "the world's wildest TV".
Participants in the second series, which will air later this year, have yet to be disclosed. Previous guests have included Alan Carr, Ed Gamble, Jessica Knappett, Iain Stirling, Ivo Graham and AJ Odudu.
Made by Rumpus Media (Joe Lycett's Got Your Back, The Misadventures Of Romesh Ranganathan), the first series aired in October and November, opening with 94,000 viewers and reaching a high of 126,000 for the fourth episode.
Channel Hopping is the latest quick recommission from Comedy Central, following Guessable, as revealed by BCG in March, and Rhod Gilbert's Growing Pains, also announced today.
Channel Hopping and Growing Pains were recommissioned by Sebastian Cardwell, deputy director of programmes for Viacom CBS UK and Dan Louw, VP Commissioning Editor, ViacomCBS Networks UK. They are executive produced by Rumpus's joint managing director Iain Wimbush.
"I am delighted to be working with Rumpus again and bringing back these shows to Comedy Central" Cardwell said.
"The first series of both shows were a big hit with our audience, and I can't wait for Rhod to uncover even more embarrassing celebrity teen stories, and for Jon to reveal some of the world's most outrageous and hilarious programmes on TV."
Wimbush added: "There is no one better equipped to tell the world of television - 'what on earth were you thinking?'- than Jon Richardson. And it's such a joy to hear him say just that about shows ranging from 'sperm race' to 'sexy car wash'."
Richardson is currently starring alongside his wife, Lucy Beaumont, in Dave mockumentary Meet The Richardsons.
