Dave resumes work on Richard Ayoade pilot
- Richard Ayoade is continuing work on a comedy pilot for Dave
- Question Team was due to be piloted in March
- Preparation for the new format was delayed by the covid-19 lockdown
Dave has resumed piloting a new panel show hosted by Richard Ayoade.
The channel had looked to record a non-broadcast pilot of Question Team, also known as Who's Asking?, in March, before the coronavirus pandemic halted production.
A run-through will now take place at the Rich Mix cinema and arts centre in London on Thursday, with three guest comedians participating in the quiz in which they also write the questions.
Producers say the show is "a quiz like no other ... Expect some healthy competition, inventive rounds and plenty of laughs."
Made by Keshet (Loaded), the show is the latest hosting role for Ayoade, who already presents The Crystal Maze on Channel 4 and will be master of ceremonies for the delayed, virtual BAFTA Awards on 31st July. The writer, actor and director recently quit his Travel Man travel series, for which he will be replaced by Joe Lycett.
As an actor, Ayoade will reprise his role as Patrick in The Souvenir: Part II, a follow-up to an acclaimed film by Joanna Hogg, and has lent his voice to Pixar's forthcoming animation Soul, set to be released in November.
A spokesperson for the Dave channel declined to comment on Question Team.
