Romesh Ranganathan to host A League Of Their Own
- Romesh Ranganathan will host six episodes of the new series of A League of Their Own
- James Corden is unable to make it to the studio from America, due to Covid-19 restrictions
- Series 15 starts on Thursday 20th August, with Jamie Redknapp and Freddie Flintoff each hosting an episode
It has been revealed that Romesh Ranganathan will host most of the episodes in the forthcoming series of A League of Their Own.
The comedian, who has been a regular panellist on the sports-based panel show since 2018, will present six of the new episodes.
Team captains Jamie Redknapp and Freddie Flintoff will host one further episode each, bringing the series total up to eight programmes. Series 15 resumed filming earlier this month at Elstree Studios, without an audience.
Producers tease: "The teams try their hand at many new sporting challenges including BMX, a unique golf challenge and badminton."
As James Corden is in America, he is not available to front the show. Corden also missed most of Series 14 due to other commitments. Both Ranganathan and Flintoff stepped in to host an episode in that series.
The producers confirm: "Due to Covid-19, it's not been possible for James Corden to travel and be in the studio for this series but the A League of Their Own team are working hard to have him involved in some way."
Guests due to appear in the new episodes will include Tony Bellew, Heather Watson, Andy Murray, Eric Dier, Eddie Hearn, Jesse Lingard, Sam Quek, Anthony Joshua, Dina Asher Smith, Micah Richards and Adam Peaty.
The new run starts on Sky One and NOW TV at 9pm on Thursday 20th August.
