Michael McIntyre gets Christmas Roadshow
Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, the stand-up exposition hosted by the popular comic, will return to BBC One for a Christmas special, it has been announced.
The hour-long special will be broadcast on Christmas Day, following successful 6-part series in 2009 and 2010. The second series is currently enjoying a repeat run in BBC One's Saturday night schedules, and all 12 episodes are also in the catalogue of Comedy Central programmes.
McIntyre commented: "Having visited 12 of my favourite cities, I'm thrilled that my Comedy Roadshow is coming home for Christmas. It's such an honour for the show to be on Christmas Day and to be introducing some of the biggest names in comedy to entertain a turkey-filled nation slumped on their sofas!"
The line-up for the special, and recording date, have yet to be announced.
