  • Dave Gorman is to return to Dave with a new eight-part series
  • Dave Gorman: Terms And Conditions Apply involves his trademark presentations, but he'll be joined by guests too
  • He says: "I'm delighted to be getting the band back together and making another show for Dave"

Dave Gorman is to return to channel Dave with a new series titled Dave Gorman: Terms And Conditions Apply.

The new format follows on from Dave Gorman Modern Life Is Goodish, which ran for 5 series on the channel between 2013 and 2017.

An eight-part series of hour-long episodes will be similar to Modern Life Is Goodish, but also feature guest stars.

Producers explain: "Once again Dave will be bringing his trusty screen along but now, in each episode, he will also be joined by three comedy guests as they cast their eye over his latest modern world discoveries, compete in mischievous games and generally try to unscramble the baffling morass of non-stop information that surrounds us in the internet age."

Gorman announced at the end of Series 5 of Modern Life Is Goodish that he was quitting the hit format as it was burning him out. He revealed he was working over 100 hours a week during production. The format of Terms And Conditions Apply would appear to take some of the pressure off this work load.

Dave Gorman says: "I'm delighted to be getting the band back together and making another show for Dave. I'm still trying to navigate my way through the bombardment of non-stop information... but hopefully, this show will prove I'm far from alone in finding it all quite so baffling."

The series will be directed by Paul Wheeler and series produced by James Fidler. Commissioner Iain Coyle says: "It is a matter of great personal pride that I am, again, getting to work with one of the most creative and unique voices in television and comedy."

Luke Hales from Dave adds: "Well we did name a TV channel after him, so figured we should probably give him another show! But jokes aside, we're hugely pleased to be able to continue our relationship with Dave Gorman on this brand-new series."

Jamie Isaacs, executive producer at production company Avalon, comments: "It's very exciting to be bringing Dave and the Modern Life Is Goodish team back together for a new show with UKTV."

Dave Gorman: Terms And Conditions Apply will be recorded in July and August (tickets), to be broadcast later this year on Dave.
