Chris Ramsey gets stand-up special

Chris Ramsey's latest live show has been commissioned to be filmed for television broadcast.
Currently in the middle of a 106-date tour of the show, which runs until December, The Just Happy To Get Out Of The House Tour will be filmed during a sell-out performance at Newcastle Metro Radio Arena.
In front of 6,500 fans in his home town, Ramsey will record the special on Saturday 3rd November 2018, with broadcast expected in 2019. Tickets are still available for numerous remaining tour dates.
Ramsey's management and the television production company behind the show, Avalon, has confirmed to British Comedy Guide that the show will be broadcast on television rather than being (initially) published by a streaming service like Netflix.
They tease: "The show encompasses some of the best advice ever to be recorded in the history of the world (hopefully), as Chris sets out some of the rules of modern existence for his infant son. Expect fatherhood, the slow slow pain of death, the slow slow pain of slow cookers, and how to laugh in the face of darkness as Chris tries to navigate the rights and wrongs, dos, don'ts and definitely don'ts of life. "
Whilst the channel broadcasting the show has yet to be announced, Ramsey has in recent years established a strong relationship with Comedy Central, who premiered previous live show All Growed Up after its DVD release, in 2016.
To date, he has also presented two series of The Chris Ramsey Show for the broadcaster and appeared as one of the star acts at Comedy Central Live! Southampton, the channel's first live comedy festival, which occurred earlier this month.
Ramsey's last stand-up show, however, was released online for free. Is That... Chris Ramsey? was published on YouTube in February. Also recorded live at the Metro Radio Arena, it can still be watched via our Guide to the show.
