Katherine Ryan is to host an episode of 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown featuring only female stars.
A "Women's Special" of the long-running panel show is due to be recorded soon, to celebrate 100 years of women's suffrage.
The producers confirm: "Katherine Ryan hosts a very special edition of 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, joined by an all-female panel of brilliant guests from the world of comedy and entertainment to celebrate 100 years of women's suffrage.
"As ever, Countdown's Rachel Riley is at the letters and numbers board and Dictionary Corner regular Susie Dent is ably assisted by a top comic. There's the classic Countdown letters and numbers games, combined with a huge dollop of witty banter and unpredictable fun."
Ryan is no stranger to the show, having appeared as a guest on the format 9 times to date. The panellists joining her for the new special will be announced in due course.
The special is due to be recorded in Salford on Sunday 3rd June 2018. Free tickets
Panel show spin-off 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown originally launched as a one-off special in 2012, however the format has now eclipsed its comedy forebear. Jimmy Carr, Sean Lock, Jon Richardson, alongside guest captains, are currently filming another full series, which will see the programme pass the 100 episode mark.
The series - including the Women's Special - will be shown on Channel 4 later this year.
