Nina Conti to host comedy game show pilot Face Time

  • Ventriloquist Nina Conti is to front a new TV show pilot called Nina Conti's Face Time
  • The format will see guests answering questions whilst wearing face masks controlled by the host
  • A not-for-broadcast pilot episode will be recorded in London in March

Nina Conti is to front a new TV show pilot.

Nina Conti's Face Time will see the ventriloquism star fronting "a celebrity game show with a difference".

Announced last year under the name Game Face, the format will see guests invited on to the show to answer quiz questions, however they will be wearing masks controlled by the host.

The producers explain: "Two celebrity teams battle it out to win money for charity answering real game show questions... but all their words come from ventriloquist Nina Conti, who turns them into her very own living puppets."

A pilot episode will be recorded at The London Studios on Thursday 15th March 2018. Tickets are now available.

The pilot is not intended for broadcast, and it has not yet been revealed which broadcaster the idea is being pitched at. Producers conclude: "This non-transmittable pilot promises to be lots of fun, packed with stars, and very, very funny."
