Channel 4 developing chat show with Jimmy Carr

- Jimmy Carr has been lined up to host the currently untitled programme
Channel 4 is developing a new chat show format which, if it makes it to screen, would be fronted by Jimmy Carr.
The currently untitled format would see audience members asking the questions.
The Sun broke the news, saying: "Following the success of Alan Carr's programmes for the channel, they've given one to Jimmy Carr too. But the comedian won't be the one questioning the celebrity guests - instead audience members will be doing the quizzing."
A Channel 4 spokesperson confirmed to British Comedy Guide that the network was working on the project, but stressed that nothing has yet been commissioned and it is currently only an "embryonic idea".
The Sun quotes a production source as saying: "The show is in the very early development stages at the moment, but bosses are excited by the fresh, new concept which allows people to interact with celebrities and get their point of view across.
"There is hope that it could give some of the rival shows like Jonathan Ross and Graham Norton a good run for their money, as the public won't shirk away from asking tough questions."
More details are expected to be revealed should the concept get to the pilot stage. Jimmy Carr is currently filming Series 3 and Series 4 of Your Face Or Mine for Comedy Central.
