- Russell Brand is to present the pilot episode of a TV debate show
- The Russell Brand TV Show will involve members of the public talking about various issues
Russell Brand is to record a pilot episode of a new TV debate show.
The producers explain: "The programme puts Russell back where he's best - face-to-face with the Great British public, as he discusses the issues that matter most to them."
A run-through of the format, which currently has the working title The Russell Brand TV Show, will be recorded on Monday 6th November at Canada Water Theatre in London.
On the page offering free tickets, the producers say: "The audience are key to this 'run-thru' show, so we need a wide range of people who are not afraid to share their views and join in the debate. What personal issues are holding you back?
"Sex and relationships? Drinking? Self loathing? Whatever the answer, come along and get involved!!"
Further details about the project, including which channel it is aimed at, are expected to be revealed in due course.
Brand recently wrote Recovery: Freedom From Our Addictions, a "manual for self-realization", that has entered the Sunday Times bestseller list.

Russell Brand - Recovery: Freedom From Our Addictions
This is the age of addiction, a condition so epidemic, so all encompassing and ubiquitous that unless you are fortunate enough to be an extreme case, you probably don't know that you have it.
What unhealthy habits and attachments are holding your life together? Are you unconsciously dependent on food? Bad relationships? A job that doesn't fulfill you? Numb, constant perusal of your phone, looking for what?
My qualification for writing this book is not that I am better than you, it's that I am worse. I am an addict, addicted to drugs, alcohol, sex, money, love and fame.
The program in Recovery has given Russell Brand freedom from all addictions and it will do the same for you.
