Mrs Brown's Boys star to host studio entertainment show
- Brendan O'Carroll is to host the non-broadcast pilot of a BBC One entertainment show
- Tell Me Something I Don't Know will involve "games, interesting facts and the occasional fib"
Brendan O'Carroll, the star of Mrs Brown's Boys, is to host a new studio entertainment show pilot.
Tell Me Something I Don't Know is in development for BBC One. It is being overseen by Hungry Bear Media, the production company that is also behind the sitcom's variety show spin-off, All Round To Mrs Brown's.
In a page calling for people to get involved in the test episode, producers explain: "Tell Me Something I Don't Know (working title) is a non-broadcast studio pilot hosted by the star of Mrs Brown's Boys, Brendan O'Carroll. It will involve lots of hilarious games, interesting facts and the occasional fib... and he wants you to take part!
"We're looking to create a fun, exciting atmosphere in studio and will be inviting members of the audience to come down and take part in the gameplay. If you would like the opportunity to join everyone's favourite mammy and his team captains on the show, please get in touch for further information."
The application form to take part in the show can be found on the BBC website
As well as Tell Me Something I Don't Know, O'Carroll is still working on Mrs Brown's Boys, which will return to BBC One for some new Christmas specials; and a second series of All Round To Mrs Brown's has been ordered for 2018.
