Comedies nominated in Royal Television Society Awards 2017
- Catastrophe, People Just Do Nothing and The Windsors are nominated in the RTS Awards
- The category for comedy writing features the creators of Mum, Motherland and Fleabag
- Asim Chaudhry, Steve Coogan and Horgan & Delaney are nominated for Comedy Performance
TV programmes, comedy actors and writers are in the running for the Royal Television Society Awards 2017.

Additionally, Richard Ayoade is nominated in the Presenter category for Travel Man and Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge has picked up another award nomination, the RTS Breakthrough award. Meanwhile Taskmaster is up against Strictly Come Dancing and Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway in the Entertainment category.
Chair of the awards, Alex Mahon, said of the nominations: "The RTS Programme Awards strive to reflect the ever-changing broadcasting landscape and to recognise the very best programmes and talent that made-up the schedules over the last 12 months."
