Hosts revealed for That Thing On Friday Night

Katherine Ryan, Joe Lycett and Romesh Ranganathan will host the pilot episode of new BBC Two comedy format That Thing On Friday Night.
The trio will front the trial episode of the new topical comedy format. A run-through is due to take place at the end of the month, followed by a full studio pilot on Thursday 9th February. Tickets
The show is being developed by Hat Trick Productions, the company that makes Have I Got News For You.
Most details about the show are currently under wraps, but the producers reveal the show will feature "stand-up, sketches, stunts and celebrities." A social media post made by Joe Lycett (below) has suggested that one of the segments will involve Lycett trying to find love.

That Thing On Friday Night is believed to be one of the formats the BBC is trialling in an attempt to find a British version of topical US sketch show Saturday Night Live. Other formats being trialled include Live From White City and That's It For The Week.
Meanwhile, ITV is preparing to launch The Nightly Show. The topical comedy format is expected to launch on Monday 6th February, with David Walliams hosting the first week.
