Comic chat show format Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled will return to television shortly to start a fifth series.

UKTV has announced that a new eight-part run will begin broadcasting on Dave in February.

The episodes are currently being filmed, with Melanie C, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Dave Johns, Gemma Cairney and David Baddiel amongst the guests confirmed as taking part.

Alan Davies says: "In this post-truth era, only Dave would dare run a show in which the guests talk openly about events that actually happened. Many famous comedy faces will appear as well as several talented people I've never heard of. Normally, being 50 now, I can't stand meeting new people but thanks to Dave, I'm overcoming that fear."

Commissioner Iain Coyle comments: "I love this show, it's consistently brilliant. The combination of seeing a new side to the biggest names in comedy and the show's continuing commitment to fresh talent, is a credit to the producers."

Channel controller Steve North adds: "I am delighted to have a brand new series of As Yet Untitled on Dave, I see it as a vital opportunity to help introduce some of the freshest names in comedy to a broader television audience. Alan continues to be a brilliantly warm host and unearth some incredibly stories out of an amazing array of guests."

Lucy Ansbro from producers Phil McIntyre Entertainment says: "We are thrilled to be working with the channel and UKTV again on such a brilliant series. Alan is great at coaxing the best stories out of the guests every episode. We can't wait to fill those seats."

A few remaining tickets are available for studio recordings taking place in London on Friday 13th and Monday 16th January. Apply
