CBBC is to air a new comedy series starring famous Beano comic strip character Dennis The Menace.
Dennis & Gnasher Unleashed will see the character and his dog rendered in CGI for the first time. Additionally, the character, who is traditionally 10 years-old, has been "aged up a bit".
CBBC has ordered 52 episodes, with the 11 minute episodes due to start in 2017.
Emma Scott from Beano Studios says: "We're thrilled to be working with CBBC on the new series, which will see us bring Dennis to life and bang up to date in CGI for the next generation of Beano fans."
CBBC first aired an animated series called Dennis The Menace & Gnasher in 1996, with the most recent adaptation - which is still repeated now - made in 2013.
CBBC commissioner Cheryl Taylor says: "Dennis and Gnasher have been unleashing their own particular brand of mischief on CBBC for many years and their ardent fans will be delighted by this wonderful new series from two of the UK's most notorious rascals."
Dennis & Gnasher Unleashed is expected to start on CBBC towards the end of 2017.
Beano.com has posted an early picture (copied below) of the duo, saying: "Here's an early sneak peek of how Dennis & Gnasher will appear. We're not finished yet but they're already looking pretty awesome... Our clever animators are currently busy making the most epic show ever!"
