Dawn French

Silent Witness star Emilia Fox, Game Of Thrones actor Iain Glen and acting veteran Sheila Hancock are joining Dawn French in her new Sky comedy drama series.

Delicious will focus on two women (played by Fox and French) who go head to head after being betrayed by the same man.

The four-part series has been written by Dan Sefton (Mr Selfridge, Secret Diary Of A Call Girl.

Sky explains: "Passionate cook Gina (Dawn French) was once married to Leo Vincent (Iain Glen), a successful entrepreneur, chef and hotel owner in Cornwall. Leo owes much of his success to Gina's exceptional cooking, but since leaving her for the glamorous Sam (Emilia Fox), his business has continued to thrive.

"When Sam has suspicions that Leo is having an affair she confides in Gina, confident that she'll recognise the signs. Only to later discover that it's Gina herself who is the 'other woman'. The secrets and scandals that spill out are proof that sleeping with another woman's husband is never a good idea - even if he was your husband first. As Sam and Gina try to fix their broken families, will a friendship rise from the ashes of betrayal or will they tear each other apart?"

The producers comment: "Delicious is an honest and compelling story of love, sex, lies and betrayal, where things are never as they seem."

Emilia Fox says: "I'm absolutely delighted to be part of Sky's new drama Delicious. As a starter it's heaven to be working with Dawn French and Iain Glen again. For main course - an absolute treat to be working on such great scripts. For the perfect recipe - a brilliant crew, cast and production team. I can't wait to tuck in!"

Iain Glen adds: "The script for Delicious was irresistible. Funny, poignant and unpredictable. I can't wait to dig my teeth into this feast of a drama."

Delicious will be shown on Sky1 later this year.
