Keith Lemon & Paddy McGuinness pilot new show
- Keith Lemon & Paddy McGuinnes are to host new TV entertainment show pilot
- A trial episode of The Keith & Paddy Show will be recorded in February
- If commissioned, the format would likely see the pair on Saturday night prime-time
Keith Lemon and Paddy McGuinness are to pilot a new TV format together.
The Keith & Paddy Show is described as a new "comedy entertainment show". Producers promise "celebrity guests, hilarious sketches and a whole lot more".
The pilot is believed to be being trialled for ITV and aimed at a Saturday night prime-time slot.
Both Lemon - aka character comedian Leigh Francis - and McGuinness are stalwarts of the ITV schedules. Lemon fronts smash hit panel show Celebrity Juice and The Keith Lemon Sketch Show for ITV2, whilst McGuinness is the host of popular entertainment format Take Me Out on the network's main channel.
Keith Lemon is also the host of the hit revival of classic quiz format Through The Keyhole, which has to date run for three series on ITV during the Autumn.
Also in character, Francis previously hosted the 2012 ITV entertainment series Keith Lemon's LemonAid. It ran for six episodes during April and May, but was not deemed a success.
Francis and McGuinness are known to be good friends, regularly working together on television. Paddy appeared as a regular guest through the first series of The Keith Lemon Sketch Show, which returns for a second run on ITV2 from Thursday 4th February.
The pair were most recently seen on screen together in Keith Lemon's Back T'Future Tribute in October.
The new pilot will be recorded at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire on Wednesday 10th February 2016. To apply to be in the studio audience, see our free tickets page
