ITV2 has ordered Keith Lemon's Back To The Future Tribute.

The one-off show will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first Back To The Future film with a variety of sketches and interviews with the show's real stars.

The channel confirms: "30 years after Marty McFly stepped into the time travelling DeLorean, Back To The Future's biggest fan, Keith Lemon, is creating his very own celebratory one off special."

The 90 minute show will see Leigh Francis, in character as Keith Lemon, joined by "some of his celebrity friends" to "remake some of his favourite Back To The Future scenes in his own inimitable style".

It has been confirmed that Paddy McGuinness will portray Biff; new Celebrity Juice regular Gino D'Acampo will play the role of Doc Brown; and the band McBusted will be performing the film's iconic song, Chuck Berry's Johnny B. Goode, for the show.

ITV adds: "The episode will also see Back To The Future obsessive Keith head off on a transatlantic pilgrimage to visit the film's iconic locations and meet some of the original cast and crew including co-creator Bob Gale. Keith will hang out with some of the film's biggest fans, speak to boffins studying real time travel and will even have a go on a real life, working hover board."

The programme will be directed by Andrew Chaplin, who has previously worked with the star on shows like Through The Keyhole and Keith Lemon's LemonAid.

Keith Lemon says: "Never did I fink 30 years ago I'd be on telly doing a 'docu-com' about 30 years of Back t' future. It's well documented that I'm a massive BTTF fan but I'm not well documented for mecking documentaries. I'm very excited. I feel like a geeky 40 year old virgin, accept I'm not 40 and I've had loads of sex. Let's get that flux capacitor fluxing!"

ITV commissioner Claire Zolkwer comments: "Keith is the most enthusiastic Back To The Future fan that I've ever met so with the 30th anniversary coming up, what better way for ITV2 to celebrate than with his very own 'docu-com'."

Leon Wilson from production company Talkback adds: "Keith is a massive Back To The Future film buff so is the perfect man to show off his knowledge and share his love with ITV2's audiences. We're excited to see his recreations of some of the film's most iconic scenes... with an extra twist of lemon."

Keith Lemon's Back To The Future Tribute will be broadcast in the Autumn, to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the film. It is expected to be shown close to or on 21st October 2015, the date Marty McFly travelled to in the second film.

In the meantime, Keith Lemon will continue to present more episodes of Celebrity Juice and Through The Keyhole, plus work on a second series of his latest hit format, The Keith Lemon Sketch Show.

This will not be the first time that Keith Lemon has featured Back To The Future in one of his shows. Here he is, with Danny Dyer, making a theatre production of the film in his mock documentary series Lemon La Vida Loca:
