Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse are set to present a new live comedy show together.

RadioTimes.com confirms that the sketch comedy duo are currently planning a tour of the UK, which will be their first live shows to feature their TV characters.

Whitehouse revealed to the magazine that they have come up with the tongue-in-cheek working title of Harry & Paul: Legends.

The Radio Times says of the tour: "It will feature some of the TV characters they have worked on together, including the 1980s' greedy glutton Loadsamoney, the 90s' 'Suits you, sir!' tailors and more recent creations like the two erudite surgeons in their BBC sketch show Harry & Paul."

Whitehouse said: "Before we die, or before another comedian puts a contract out on us we thought we'd do a live show. Hopefully in the autumn. Mainly in Iceland but we thought we'd do a couple of UK dates."

The duo will continue to work on television this year too. As previously reported, following the success of the multi award-winning special Harry & Paul's Story Of The 2s the BBC has now ordered a one-off programme to help celebrate 25 years of the duo's comic partnership.

Producers explained: "The show will celebrate not only their sketch characters, but also, for the first time, will introduce the real Harry and Paul, who appear almost live on stage as themselves."

Whitehouse revealed to The Radio Times that the TV special will be presented as a "twisted Audience With... style show" with him and his comedy partner set to play most of the guests too, including Margaret Thatcher and Wolf Hall actor Mark Rylance.

News the duo are to head out on the road follows on from the details released at the start of the month confirming Vic & Bob are to present a 25th anniversary live tour.

More details on Harry & Paul's tour is expected later this year.

Paul Whitehouse is currently starring in BBC Two series Nurse, whilst Harry Enfield is on location reprising his role as Martin Wickers for The Bad Education Movie.
