Rae finds herself back in the same hospital where it all began. Rae is adamant that she is staying despite what the doctors say. However, after a visit from Kester - who still believes that Rae is ready to end therapy despite the setbacks - she finds the strength to return to her life in Stamford.

Back at college, Rae receives another blow from Katie Springer when she is brutally honest about the impact of Rae's illness on Finn and the rest of her friends. Meanwhile at home, Karim is leaving for a new job in Tunisia. Rae tries to persuade her mum to join him, but feels yet more guilt when she tells Rae that she is too worried about her to leave.

As Rae struggles to maintain the status quo as everything around her changes, will she be able to realise how far she has come in her journey and embrace the biggest adventure yet, or will she fall at the final hurdle?
