Rae and the gang are preparing for their last summer together in Stamford. Rae may have messed up her university interview - but why would she want to leave Stamford anyway? She has the gang, her family, and the hottest boyfriend in Lincolnshire. And the cherry on the cake? Finn gets his own flat, and makes Rae an offer she can't resist.

But when Rae receives an unexpected letter from Bristol University offering her a place to read English, it throws a spanner in the works. Kester is angry when he finds out that Rae has binned the letter. However, Rae is adamant she's staying in Stamford. She even finds herself lying about it to Chloe and Izzy.

Rae pledges to help Archie lose his virginity before he goes off to uni and finds him the perfect candidate. Project 'get Archie laid' is very much on.

When a new friend forces Rae to see things in a different light, she struggles to cope with decisions which will affect the rest of her life. As she attempts to maintain the status quo, it has disastrous consequences for all the gang.
