Like all young lads in the early 90s, Martin wants-needs a Sega Mega Drive. Be gone slinky, hello magic machine. But Liam is having none of it: not only is this whole computer thing just a fad, work is slow and money is tight. So tight, in fact, the bank manager is at the door and Debra must increase the frequency of her Weight Wishers classes to earn more.

So, if Martin wants the games console, he must get a job. And where else than the swanky Royal Boyle Golf Club would such a refined young fella seek employment?

Although he isn't going to be "golf-stick maker" any time soon, they will give him a few coins for collecting lost balls, and a promotion is soon on the cards when he shows a knack on the green, becoming a caddie for Liam's nemesis, bank manager Kevin Leech.

Seeing Martin working with Leech sparks Liam's competitive edge, reigniting a long-standing rivalry that started back in the 60s over the affections of young Debra, not to mention the legendary handball duel. As the pair go head-to-head once again, it's hand versus club in the ultimate battle of old scores.
