Series 1, Episode 4 - Dark Side Of The Moone

Uncle Danny arrives just in time for Martin's birds-and-the-bees talk with Mum and Dad. Sean seeks solace with other imaginary friends when Martin upsets him.

Further details

Uncle Danny arrives at the Moone ranch just in time for Martin to be given the talk. The maverick of the family, Danny is a musician who has busked his way round Europe and even worked with U2.

Idolised by Martin and his sisters, Uncle Danny is one to impress. So much so, that Martin denies he's still mates with Sean Murphy when his cool uncle questions the status of his imaginary friend. An upset Sean is not going to stay where he's not wanted...

As Martin is forced to sit down with his parents for a fumbling chat about the birds and the bees following an awkward moment while watching ladies' tennis with his family and the case of some missing bed sheets, the confused 12-year-old swiftly turns to Danny to learn how best to deal with his appreciation for the opposite sex. Safe to say this does little to defuse the rivalry between Liam and his brother.

Meanwhile, a depressed Sean seeks solace with the other forgotten imaginary friends as he shares a pint and plays pool with a cowboy, an elf and Crunchy Danger Haystacks (although Crunchy is only there for a drink while Padriac sleeps). Will Sean and Martin be reunited, or has Martin finally outgrown him now he's becoming a man?
