Misfits: Series 3, Episode 4 review

Tonight's episode of Misfits was probably the most ambitious in the series so far, which for this show is really saying something. Full of satisfying callbacks to previous episodes and featuring our gang being put in some quite different situations to usual, it showed exactly how to do an alternate universe episode.

Review of Misfits - series 3, episode 4

Who would have thought Seth's throwaway comment about an old Jewish man travelling back in time to kill Hitler would become an episode?

Misfits, 3.3 - episode 3

Episode 3 was a terrific hour that explored some very interesting areas, despite having a fairly humdrum starting point.

Dan Owen, Dan's Media Digest, 14th November 2011

If you're a superhero, there are rules: keep your identity secret, avoid close personal relationships, and try not to get beaten up by any itinerant mugger who crosses your path. Oh, and there's the whole fulfilling your destiny thing, too. Simon has problems this week when a comic-geek, Peter, recognises him and becomes a fanboy, but he's not quite as keen on Alisha and has a unique way of writing her out of - and himself into - the picture.

Another cracker of an episode. The complex future/past relationship between Simon and Alisha confuses them as well as us, Kelly shows her innate grace on a brief date with Seth, and Rudy..? He doesn't need to do anything to be funny.

Misfits: Series 3, Episode 3 review

I felt this episode was the best of the third series so far. While it didn't answer as many questions as I'd hoped when I saw it'd be a Superhoodie episode, it was an exciting step forward on the path towards Simon's apparently certain fate.

Misfits: Series 3, Episode 3 review

In between the super-prowess the dialogue is as sharp as ever and the quotability factor rises considerably, especially when Rudy's in the room.

Misfits' women are not to be messed with

Unlike the female characters in many sci-fi shows who exist to be rescued, Alisha and Kelly give us something to cheer about.
