Zoë and Alec are expecting again (well Zoë mainly). Zoë is trying to get Alec to agree to a water birth. Alec is not at all keen on the idea.
At work meanwhile Alec's dream has come true - he has finally got a criminal case to deal with. Jamie is keen to help out but Alec wants this one to himself. Zoë goes into labour prematurely at the same time as Alec is due in court. Hilary rushes to the court to fetch him and Alec is forced to leave Jamie to try and get an adjournment.
Alec races to the hospital just in time and Zoë gives birth to a baby girl. Jamie arrives later and announces he was unable to get an adjournment so he dealt with the hearing himself and won. Alec is so proud of Jamie he offers him a partnership making Semple, Callender & Henty, Semple, Callender & Callender. The new baby is named Fleur.
