Further details
Zoë is vying for a promotion at School to Head of the PE Department. Also going for the role is Roy, Zoë's ex sort-of boyfriend. Alec however is worried about Zoë's competitive nature and decides to show her that winning isn't everything by playing her at every game he can think of, but he actually ends up losing each time.
Meanwhile at the office Hilary is depressed as she and her boyfriend Derek are having a trial separation. She is soon distracted however by the arrival in Pinner of Miss Flood's nephew Anthony.
Zoë loses out on the job to Roy and Alec decides to stop his competition with Zoë. Zoë however has realised what Alec is up to and has found a game that she thinks Alec can win: Trivial Pursuit. Alec declines but is goaded into it by Zoë. Alec is delighted when he wins but is soon suspicious that Zoë has let him win and determines to beat her fair and square even if it takes all night.
