Further details

Alec is rather embarrassed by his encounter with Zoë's parents. He eventually phones her up to apologise and gets invited to Sunday Dinner. Worried that he will have nothing in common with Zoë and the evening will be a disaster if they have nothing to talk about, Alec swots up on his sport knowledge. Spurred on by Miles he also takes up Squash and visiting the local gym where he meets Roy Morgan Jones.

Zoë meanwhile is thinking exactly the same thing as Alec and desperate to be having a subject for conversation she swots up on the law and starts reading Perry Mason. When Sunday arrives Alec and Zoë nervously try and strike up conversations on each other's subjects but its obvious to both of them that they don't really know much about the subject, nor do they have much interest. They decide to just be themselves and stick to what they know they both have an interest in musical theatre and, of course, each other.
