Vicar

Played by: Jo Joyner

Central to a local vicar's job is to advise and to offer spiritual counsel and guidance. This particular vicar is great at the former, but somewhat clueless on the latter, often making up quotes in an attempt to help: "As Saint Peter said..."

The Vicar is now a ghost, and hanging around with Marley, Michael and Adam for something to do.

Michael Walton

Played by: Nicholas Burns

Michael was Marley's colleague and, latterly, lover. He's a pleasant chap and appears to genuinely care for her, but has a self-assuredness and over-confidence in their relationship that Marley didn't quite care for.

Despite his evident intelligence - as a fellow in the legal profession - Michael can at times be stunningly naïve and obtuse.

Following his death in a car accident, he's now hanging around as a ghost and has slowly formed a friendship with Adam.

Adam Wise

Played by: John Hannah

Adam was Marley's husband. Following the failure of a business some years ago, he sunk into depression and alcoholism, and failed to pick himself up. A constant drain on her income and at times a huge embarrassment at work, Marley wished he'd get his act together.

He's now trying to make up for things... albeit as a ghost.

Tina Jarvis (Series 1)

Played by: Mina Anwar

Tina lived directly across the road from Marley and Adam in Series 1. She seemed pleasant enough, but was constantly twitching at the curtains or watching Marley from her front garden.
