1974. Controversial horror film The Exorcist has just been released and it's terrifying cinema goers up and down the country. Including 18-year-old Paul O'Grady.

After seeing the movie with his friend, a series of encounters with a number of unsavoury characters on his journey home leave Paul more than a little spooked, forcing him to seek comfort from his sleeping mother. Mrs O'Grady doesn't share, however, and, keeping a tight grip on her duvet cover, refuses to budge up the bed.
