Further details
If Karen's baby was conceived before she knew Damon, could the father be a mysterious vet Karen was chums with while still a resident at brother Howard's farm?
Irene sends photographs of 'baby boy' (still no name...) which prove that Vera is his granny: look at the nose... unmistakable. Karen is already up and out clubbing with Lesley - leaving Irene in full charge of baby and toddler.
Vera is also working hard looking after not just Sabrina, but neighbour Yasmin's two grandchildren. She hopes to be moving into a flat, and a group of eastern European refugees have expressed an interest in the trailer.
Irene expatiates on moral decline and the poor influences children are exposed to nowadays. She also sends newspaper cuttings that tell a tragic story. Damon has been accidentally shot. Two hunters were out taking pot shots at wild-life, and mistook him for a dingo!
Vera and Sabrina move to a new home - a flat in Candida Court. She writes to Howard and his partner Antony to ask for details of the vet with whom Karen was friendly. They know all about Karen's relationship with handsome StJohn... and not long after, Irene writes with details of Baby Boy's name - Nelson Wilfred Charlie St John Small. Karen clearly has no doubt about who the boy's father is.
