Having been 'rescued' from the clinic by Damon and Karen, Irene is now living rough in the outback.

Further details

Damon has consumed all Irene's pills and now thinks he's a dingo. Karen and Irene have given him the slip and are waiting for Lesley to collect them from a guest house at Lirralirra Falls.

News that Vera has secured custody of Sabrina upsets Karen. Now it's Irene's turn to offer advice: about family therapy for mother and daughter. This, and Irene's idea that Vera has confessed to being an alcoholic - irritate Vera, who is otherwise lost in a grandmaternal idyll, paddling, going for walks with the dog, and playing Helicopter Gunchicks with Sabrina on the computer.

Irene tells Vera there have been sightings of a 'Mystery Dingo Man', and that now she's back at Lesley's house with Karen, she's in the mood for confession. Yes - she did drink too much, yes - she was lonely and over-worked, yes - Vincent wasn't as dishy as she made out. Hoping to sober up after an all night session 'wine-tasting', she accidentally made herself a cup of tea using Lesley's stash of Marijuana. No wonder she ended up in the loony bin. But Lesley and Karen are getting on really well. Almost too well. All that giggling behind locked doors...

Irene encourages Lesley to respond favourably to Vera's reluctant agreement to try family therapy, and Vera lists acceptable alternatives to dope as aids to relaxation. Karen gives birth to a baby boy, and Irene takes charge with a vengeance. The baby is two months premature... or perhaps it's full term and Damon isn't the father!
