Junior Taskmaster

We're nearly halfway through the heats, and the competition to get through to the semi-finals is hotting up, under the watchful eyes of Junior Taskmaster Rose Matafeo and her assistant Mike Wozniak. Heat three's fresh-faced five - all aged between nine and 11 - are Ebrima, Finley, George, Liana and Shenaya. The big question is, who will be victorious while sporting a face full of shaving foam? And there's an unfortunate misunderstanding involving peas.

Prize task: The most surprising item from your house.

- Ebrima: A cut-out of himself, because he like to jump out on people. - 5

Task 1, Part 1: Say 15 very different words in 30 seconds, then open the next task. Part 2: Put on the goggles and completely cover your face in shaving cream, then open the next task. Part 3: Catch as many petals on your face as possible in 30 seconds, then open the next task. Part 4: Say the 15 words that you said in the first 30 seconds. Most correctly remembered words wins. You have 30 seconds, your time starts now.

Task 2: Stick as many different things to you as possible. Most different things stuck to you when Mike blows his whistle wins. You have ten minutes. Your time starts now.

Task 3, Part 1: Hide the peas that are currently on the tees. You have five minutes. Your time starts now. Part 2: Retrieve the peas and put them back on their tees. Most peas back on their tees in the fastest time wins. You have a maximum of ten minutes. Your time starts now.

- Shenaya: 20 peas in 4:41 - 5
- Liana: 20 peas in 8:15 - 4
- Finley: 18.5 peas in 5:11 - 3
- Ebrima: 18 peas in 10:00 - 2
- George: 6 peas in 10:00, and a bonus point for how he handled the task and insulted Mike. - 2

Live task: Open a can. You must open the first can you touch. If you open a can that has something in it, you are out. The person who stays in the longest wins.
