Jossy Blair was a talented footballer in his youth. But his career was cut short when he injured himself during his first game for Newcastle United.
One day Jossy sees the local youth football club, the Glipton Grasshoppers, struggle in a match, and offers the boys some much-needed advice on improving their game.
After hearing about Jossy's past and reputation, the Grasshoppers, along with their friend and number one fan Tracey, decide they need his expertise, and convince Jossy to become their new manager.
Jossy takes on the seemingly mammoth task of training the cheeky and boisterous boys in the team. But with some organisation, a change of attitude, and a lot of humour along the way, he transforms them into a respectable team, the Glipton Giants.
