Josh review: Beattie Edmondson's comic timing stuck out
There's nothing original or remarkable about the set-up - or much of the script - in Josh Widdicombe's eponymous sitcom but there's promising chemistry between its stars.
Sally Newall, The Independent, 11th November 2015Josh, episode 1: Swimming & Kissing review
I feel that Josh is certainly worth sticking around for to see where it will go next, but I do see one problem on the horizon, and it is a big one. It is nothing to do with the quality of Josh but it is more a victim of poor scheduling, as next week it goes head-to-head with Channel 4's critically acclaimed Toast of London. Sadly it is hard to see Josh coming out on top in terms of viewing figures or reviews when compared to it.
Ian Wolf, On The Box, 11th November 2015Josh review
For its failings, Josh (which has been directed in straightforward manner by David Schneider) is watchable, entertaining and amusing, but it rather washes over you. A solid effort, and another stepping stone on the careers of all those involved, but unlikely to go down as a classic, and faring poorly when watched back-to-back with the superlative Peep Show.

Josh doesn't break the sitcom mould and the scheduling is slightly unfortunate. But it is well worth watching.

Elliot Gonzalez, I Talk Telly, 6th November 2015Radio Times review
This is the harmless - if unremarkable - sitcom from Josh Widdicombe, who you may recognise as the squeaky-voiced Hobbit one from Channel 4's The Last Leg.
Based around a London flat-share, it charts the misadventures of the gawky Josh, his Welsh, laddish mate Owen and the "emotionally damaged" Kate, who this week must navigate a sexy pool party - but oh no, Josh can't swim! - and the revelation that Kate kisses like a blender. Jack Dee also features as an intrusive, socially inept landlord.
If you've never seen a sitcom in your life, prepare to be wowed. Otherwise, there's nothing here you haven't seen before - only then it was probably done better, sharper and quicker.
