1. Episode One

Thursday 19^th August 2021

The comedian returns to investigate consumer rights and fight for justice. In this first edition of a new run, guest AJ Odudu shares her tips for how to be a good complainer and helps Joe as he takes on the massive issue of plastic waste. Plus, comedian Sophie Duker investigates rat-run traffic fines and regular contributor Mark Silcox pits Coke against Pepsi in the ultimate scientific test.

The comedian gets fast and furious as he takes on black box car insurance. Regular contributor Mark Silcox and guest Stephen Mulhern go head to head in some Poundland bargain hunting, and ITV Political Editor Robert Peston delivers a special report on the rising price of Freddos. Plus, comedian Rosie Jones investigates the lack of diversity in children's toys.

Joe is joined by celebrity guest Lorraine Kelly to take on dodgy puppy dealers, and goes on a special mission in Wales to make British wool cool again with the help of some celebrity pals. Rosie Jones investigates faux fur being sold by online retailers and Mark Silcox puts the Whopper and the Big Mac head-to-head in his test lab.

Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo joins the host as he bags up a massive financial victory with the Co-op. Plus, with the help of the SAS, Joe travels to Scotland to look into deliveries in the Highlands, and comedian Rosie Jones ramps up the pressure on accessible renting.

Stand-up comic Sarah Millican joins Joe as he takes on Virgin Media's Ts and Cs, and with the help of a beloved boyband registers a national day in the name of "rubbish" broadband. Plus, comedian Sophie Duker investigates the scammers who are selling people's data on the dark web.

This week's celebrity guest Kirsty Wark joins Joe as he annoys the boss of Samuel Smiths pubs. The team also take on Sports Direct over a broken bike and comedian Joanne McNally investigates greenwashing in fashion.

Joe is joined by Sara Pascoe to explore some of the dubious practices of the gambling industry. He opens a betting shop aimed at kids with the help of street artist Foka Wolf, gets thrown out of a casino with an honest advert for his own VIP club and looks at the effects of online gambling on assistant Mark Silcox's brain.

Jo Brand joins Joe as he goes on a mission to make Britain's beaches more eco-friendly by banning cheap polystyrene bodyboards. Plus, comedian Joanne McNally investigates diet fads and the team explores online shopping fraud loopholes. As usual, tech specialist Mark Silcox offers support to the host's quests.
