This sitcom starred Leslie Randall and Joan Reynolds - a real-life married couple - as versions of themselves, playing out their lives together for the entertainment of the nation. Leslie was a freelance journalist writing a column under the assumed name of Dorothy Goodheart, whilst Joan was the 'dumb belle' loveable housewife.
The format changed slightly between Series 1 and 2, moving from 15 minute installments to more recognisable half hours, and the show also enlisted new writers to expand the format beyond merely re-enacted versions of humourous situations and meetings in the couple's real life. The change also saw the introduction of two new characters; Mike (Harry Towb), whose garage the Randalls lived above, and their charlady Mrs Henshawe (Noel Dyson).
