Further details
Bethan tries to derail manipulative Poppy's attempt at becoming Head Girl by standing against her in the election. Travis remains loyal and after a big apology from Bethan, Lydia also rallies around and turns up to show her support.
After a rocky start, Bethan's campaign speech goes down well with her audience, when she ditches the script and does some straight talking that makes the other pupils laugh. On a high after the speech she takes Lydia and Travis to Tony Chippy's house where she decides to confront his wife and tell her what happened the night of Lydia's birthday, in an attempt to right the wrong for her oldest friend.
Bethan visits Trina in hospital and tries to tell her how well her speech had gone, but faced with Trina's indifference, she has to accept that her mother will never truly understand her, but she realises finally that that's OK. Bethan's acceptance and peace with the situation is short lived as she comes face to face with an unexpected visitor at the hospital, this threatens to bring her house of cards of lies tumbling down.
