Rufus finds himself forced to take part in Dr Mu's malevolent gameshow, Cash Or Kick Yourself, in order to save the world and indeed the multiverse.

On Earth record ratings are predicted for the hit new TV gameshow Cash or Kick Yourself. Dr Mu is broadcasting different versions of the show to every civilised planet in the multiverse. Once he has taken over the airwaves he plans to activate his Hypnotron device, sending hypnotic mind control waves through every TV and video screen in the universe, reducing every viewer into a mindless couch-potato under his control.

Rufus finds himself forced to take part in Dr Mu's malevolent gameshow, with the evil Doctor himself as the host. To save the world, Rufus must successfully complete every round, evade the show's dubious mascot, Mr Blinko, and win the mystery prize.
