A leading fashion company is holding a retreat weekend for its top brass and Charlie is bemused by the strength of Anna's moral convictions when she uncovers exploitation at work. Tony is busy re-evaluating his life as his 40th birthday looms and a seductive member of a jury sequestered at the hotel catches his eye. Meanwhile, a particularly demanding guest turns out to be more than meets the eye - and the staff aren't impressed.

A damning missive from head office is just the tip of the iceberg as far as Charlie's problems are concerned. Below stairs, chambermaids are up in arms over a pay mess up whilst rumours of a planned heist threaten a diamond auction due to take place at the hotel. With management locking down all of Charlie's financial contingencies, he must use alternative means to find cash to make sure the auction happens - with disastrous consequences.

Hollywood has come to town and the team is forced to handle the egos of the latest botoxed-box-office pairing who are filming at the hotel. As Gino and Ben compete for the director's attention in a bid to get 'noticed', Jack has to keep the bickering movie stars happy in order to secure their on-screen chemistry and prevent the sponsors from pulling the plug on the film. Meanwhile, Anna can't get Charlie out of her head, despite Ned's glamorous invite of a weekend in New York.

Tony arranges a specialist prostitute for a seedy guest, despite his better judgment. But when the young girl in question is revealed to be victim of a sex traffic ring, Tony decides to go out on a limb to help her, roping in a surprisingly sensitive Emily. James lords it over a less successful Gino as his restaurant starts to take off. Infamous illusionist Dan Black is at the hotel to promote his latest mystery stunt, and Anna and Ben attempt to prove he's a fraud.
