Boonsey, an imaginary island off the Dorset coast, is H.M.S. Paradise - an idyllic posting for any young matelot. Nothing seems to happen there except for work dodging and fiddling. Captain 'Thunderguts' Turvey, in the nearby shore base, intends to change all that but is generally thwarted by the island's 'early warning system'.
